My beliefs
"Nothing is more noble, nothing more venerable than fidelity.
Faithfulness and truth are the most sacred excellences and
endowments of the human mind". - Cicero

I believe that friends, and family are the most important assets a person can have, along with a
peaceful spirit. No amount of money could ever come close to the value those have in my life.
I believe that work and money are only the means to an end, and should not be our life's main focus nor consume more of our time than what is absolutely necessary in order to make a living. Life is so precious and yet time slips by so quickly, like elusive dust thru our fingers, that almost every free moment we have should be spent enjoying our brief existence, whether it be by spending time with a loved one, or helping a child, planting a garden, watching the stars at night, or exploring new places. We should do more of the things that really make us happy … while still being careful not to neglect the needs of those who love us.
I believe that any time or effort spent on a child is time well spent and a worthwhile endeavor. Teaching
and caring for children is one of the most beautiful and rewarding experiences a person can have, no matter how challenging it may be at times.
I believe in never allowing people to turn you into an uncaring, or distrusting person because of their actions. Trusting, loving, caring, being humble, loyal and courageous are what make us excellent individuals and what give us true character. I believe fear, pride and our ego are our worst enemies. They keep us from finding happiness and from getting close to people who might make our life richer, more interesting or more complete.
I believe in the importance of being honest at all cost, even if some people cannot handle honesty.
Always be true to yourself. I find truth refreshing in a world full of pretenses, lies and facades. We should express what we feel or think, and mean what we say.
I believe in always trying our very best to keep the promises we make.
I believe that the only thing that makes one person better than the other, is not their race, nationality, education, wealth or creed, but rather the quality of the content of their heart, mind and soul.
I believe most paid jobs degrade the mind and diminish the spirit, so if for some unfortunate reason
we cannot do what we truly love for a living, at least make it a hobby! This will do our mind much good, and keep us balanced.
I believe in never losing sight of our dreams, and in striving to make them a reality whenever possible, no matter how unattainable they may seem to others. That is what gives us purpose, what keeps us really alive.
I believe in giving, especially to those who cannot give in return … and in giving for no special reason other than the fact that this person was on our mind or in our heart.
I believe that material possessions are fleeting and meaningless in the long run, as we cannot take them
with us when we die. People should have importance in our lives, not things.
I believe that true love never dies and cannot be bought. It can only be given naturally as a priceless gift, by spending time, by sharing dreams and special moments in our life.
I believe simplicity and forgiveness are the greatest sources of happiness. I believe spending time in Nature can refresh a weary spirit and heal a fatigued mind.
But above all, I believe that good things do come to good people, sooner or later. I believe that all the beautiful things around us, as well as us, have a Creator. I believe in pure, unconditional love, and
that true beauty does indeed come from the depths of our soul.
"There is much beauty still left in the world, all we have to do is really look.
Look inside some people's hearts" - DL
